EUROPE VISITS THE NETHERLANDS
Dorothee Oberlinger & Peter Kofler
The 17th century is also known as Gouden Eeuw (the golden ara) in the Flemish-Dutch School. At the time, making music was a favoured form of whiling away the hours. Dorothee Oberlinger explores this tradition in her exclusive programme and presents Stockstadt with gems of musical history that emanated from this pastime. She will be playing works by Kempis, van Eyck, Schop and popular sonatas from the 18th century. The versatile musician Peter Kofler will be contributing tunes from Sweelinck on the Flemish harpsichord and forms a genial duo with one of Germany’s leading recorder players. Don’t miss out on an exciting new programme!
Works by Q. van Blankenburg, U.W. van Wassenaer, J. van Eyck, A. Corelli, among others.
