Dorothee Oberlinger & Ensemble 1700
Dorothee Oberlinger and her chamber group Ensemble 1700 embark on a grand tour of Europe’s musical hubs of the Baroque era. They will be playing pasticcios from such varied places as London, Venice, Brandenburg, Paris, Hanover and Hamburg. Many of the composers featured on the programme were themselves happy travellers and absorbed many of the influences of the respective country’s national style. Welcome to our brilliant Grand Tour! We will be joined by additional soloists in the form of Russian baroque violinist and counter tenor Dmitry Sinkovsky, the Italian oboist and recorder player Emiliano Rodolfi and the wonderful, orchestra-sized Ensemble 1700.

“Performing the Brandenburg Concert No. 4, soloist Oberlinger also acts as a conductor with her first-class ensemble members around violinist Dmitry Sinkovsky and delights with her immensely agile and variable playing.” RONDO, 2018
