Erik Bosgraaf & Francesco Corti
The Dutch recorder player Erik Bosgraaf counts among the most innovative personalities in the field of early and contemporary music. Time and again, he commissions new pieces for the recorder, thus significantly enriching the instrument’s repertoire. He will be performing together with the Italian harpsichordist Francesco Corti, a regular performer on the international stage and professor at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Their varied programme also includes long-forgotten works, including Flemish baroque music. They will present excerpts from the albums Handel & Telemann Sonatas, shining a light on the contrasting elements found in baroque masterpieces for recorder and continuo – jewels of the repertoire.
Works by G. Ph. Telemann, G. F. Händel, L. Berio, W. Jeths & J. M. Leclair
“This man can do anything! so inspired, and technically impeccable. He also plays a lot of contemporary music. That makes the difference, I think.”
