Dear music fans, dear audience of the Recorder Festival Days!

Since 1985, the Recorder Festival Days have been a cultural highlight in the international wind scene. Music fans from near and far mark the festival firmly in their calendars every year and look forward to top-class events. Firmly connected with the festival is the venue Stockstadt, where more than 20 editions of the festival have taken place so far.

Now the recorder festival is moving to Bad Kissingen and we here in the Bavarian State Spa are very much looking forward to welcoming you all here with us soon. Artists have been drawn here time and again since the nineteenth century. Culture and music have always been on the agenda in Bad Kissingen. Our magnificent historic concert halls provide the perfect setting for the recorder festival days.

The Max Littmann Hall, one of the five best concert halls in the world with its special panelling of cherry wood, is a real acoustic wonder. In addition to the Max Littmann Hall, you can also look forward to the Wandelhalle. It was built in 1911 and equipped with the first revolving concert shell in Europe.

In summer, the stage can be turned outwards and, in fine weather, the music can be played directed out into the spa garden. This means that no matter what the weather, we can guarantee a perfect concert experience.

The Rossini Hall is also a popular venue in Bad Kissingen. Built by the star architect Friedrich von Gärtner, it originally served as a conversation hall. Today, international artists receive their guests there.

We look forward to welcoming you to the next recorder festival in Bad Kissingen!

Yours, Sylvie Thormann
